Do you offer Apprenticeships/technician training schemes?

Yes we do! Farol are the only John Deere dealership in the UK to offer the โ€œJohn Deere Diplomaโ€ โ€“ a bespoke 2 year training course run very similarly to an Apprenticeship. The majority of your time is spent in the workshop/out with technicians with up to 8 weeks a year spent at college for formal training, provided by John Deere/Pro VQ, our learning provider.

How much will I earn?

Trainee Positions (John Deere Diploma scheme) – Starting salary of ยฃ20k to ยฃ26k increasing to ยฃ31k upon completion of the 2 year scheme

Workshop based Technicians โ€“ basic salary of up to ยฃ35k plus overtime and generous incentive scheme (quarterly bonus and commission). OTE in excess of ยฃ40k

Mobile Diagnostic Technicians โ€“ basic salary of up to ยฃ42k plus overtime and generous Technician inventive scheme (quarterly bonus and commission). OTE earnings in excess of ยฃ55k

How do I transfer my technical skills to Farol?

In partnership with John Deere, we can put you through our accelerated Technician training scheme, which aims to get you up and running as a fully-fledged, certified John Deere technician within 12 โ€“ 18 months. This involves a combination of on-the-job learning, in-house classroom/workshop-based learning with Farolโ€™s Certified John Deere instructor and product training at John Deereโ€™s specialist training centre in Nottingham.

โ€‹Once Certified, you can then progress further with your training and become a Product Specialist in one or more of our many different types of machinery. Or perhaps you’d like to move into another department within the business, such as our Central Service team or you’d like to start a career in Precision Technology or Sales? The opportunities at Farol are endless!
