Minnesota-based Turfco Manufacturing, a leader in turf maintenance for golf, sports and lawn care for over a century, has announced the appointment of Farol Limited as their new dealer. Farol Ltd were established in 1976 and remain family owned, now operating from six outlets employing over 250 people, with branches at Thame, Hungerford, Hinckley, Midhurst, Twyford and Newark.
As the UK’s largest John Deere turf dealership, Farol has built up an extensive portfolio of products and services for customers covering all aspects of the business, including service contracts, repair and maintenance plans, detailed estimates, overnight parts delivery and finance options. So, when the chance to work with Turfco and add the globally recognised brand to their portfolio presented itself, Farol grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
“Turfco has always been a brand that is well recognised within the golf and turf care industry for the quality of their product, and as one of the biggest John Deere dealers in the UK, these key elements are shared by all of us at Farol,” said James Moore, Golf & Turf Director of Farol Ltd. “We know and understand how important it is to work with our partners and customers before, during and after equipment has been delivered, and I’m confident that both Farol and Turfco will enjoy a long and mutually successful trading partnership.”
Scott Kinkead, executive vice-president of Turfco Manufacturing added: “Adding new dealers to any distribution network is always a risk but knowing the team at Farol – and the reputation they have forged through their relationship with John Deere – all of us at Turfco are confident that new partnership will be a huge success. Farol’s reputation for customer service precedes them, and working closely with our European sales director, John Moore, Farol and their customers will benefit from support both on the ground and from the United States.”
The partnership between Turfco and Farol is effective immediately, with James Moore adding: “We are hugely honoured and delighted to be working with John and Scott at Turfco, and moving forward, we look forward to growing their brand over the months and years ahead.”
