Located in 30 acres of beautiful grounds on the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire border resides Ashfold School. From 1956, Ashfold has upheld the ethos of enhancing a child’s education through academics and physical activity. Incorporated within the grounds of Ashfold are rugby fields, football, and cricket pitches and other vast open spaces. They pride themselves on creating a safe and inspiring space through the outdoors for both the students and their families.

As a family run company, Farol Ltd shares the values put forward by the school and as such are proud in supporting Ashfold through equipping the school with an operator lease of a range of John Deere turf machinery thanks to Golf and Turf Sales Manager Peter Helps. Farols Managing Director Matthew Vellacott is proud to have the opportunity to encourage both current and future students in the growth of their physical education. Mr. Vellacott has personal connections to Ashfold, with his 8-year-old daughter attending the prestigious school.

The range of John Deere machinery supplied to Ashfold are the 2038R Compact Utility Tractor with the Wessex WFM 145 Flail Mower, an 8800A TerrainCut and the X950R Mowing Tractor.

The 2038R is an easy-to-use compact tractor that offers even more stability and reliability. With the Twin Touch™ foot pedals, you can manoeuvre with speed and ease making it an ideal tool along with the Wessex WFM-145 Flail Mower which is a tough performer in dense vegetation, long grass, and woodland rides.

As well as the 2038R is the John Deere 8800A TerrainCut. With full TechControl display, the user can mow and turn at exact speeds. The TerrainCut features eHydro™ traction pump, and an innovative notch system for height-of-cut adjustments taking performance and operation to the next level.

The final machine, the X950R Diesel Mowing Tractor, thrives on hard work. The heavy-duty wheel motors can power through tough terrain all day. It provides comfort with the easy to locate controls and a spacious operating system making the X950R a perfect addition to Ashfold.

With the help of John Deere, pupils of all sporting abilities have the chance to better their knowledge and skills in different sports. Ashfold have created opportunities for scholarships to some of the best schools in the country. From 2010-2020, twenty-four pupils received sporting scholarships.
