West Surrey Golf Club has taken a major step forward in its commitment to turf excellence with the arrival of a brand-new nine-machine John Deere fleet, supplied by Farol Ltd.

At the heart of the upgrade are four additional 2750 E-Cut PrecisionCut™ greens mowers, joined by two 7500A PrecisionCut™ fairway mowers, which now run lighter cutting units to reduce turf stress. This shift is part of a broader strategy aimed at enhancing turf quality across the course.

The delivery also includes a 9009A TerrainCut™ rough mower, 4066R compact tractor, HD200 ProGator sprayer and a Turfco Widespin 1550 top dresser. Each machine was carefully selected to support efficient maintenance and deliver superior playing surfaces.

This marks the club’s third John Deere machinery package and the sixth for course manager Alec Macindoe over the course of his career. While Alec’s working relationship with new area sales manager Sam Bush is just beginning, his connection with Farol Golf & Turf Director James Moore goes back 25 years.

“For me, doing my job is 100% about relationships,” said Alec. “I couldn’t give West Surrey as a club what they need if it wasn’t for the relationship with James and Farol.”

To protect the club’s investment, Alec has opted for a five-year PowerGard and service contract. This fixed-cost approach not only provides cost certainty but also frees up the greenkeeping team to focus more on course presentation rather than equipment upkeep.

All machines come factory fitted with JDLink™ telematics, enabling remote tracking of machine hours, locations and service intervals. More importantly, they are set up for future enhancements such as advanced diagnostics, optimisation and documentation.
